I've got no photo's of the bonnies caught, but they all looked like SBD's. Instead I'll go for a tale of Woe award with a 12" (two and half curler) turd.

Had to cut my hook free in order to release it - small moray eel.

Thanks to SAILING SCENE (www.sailingscene.com.au) - I'm happy to be able to announce the winners of the October Fishing Comp.

Well - it's still tight, real tight at the top of the ladder. We've seen some gamesmanship sneak into the competition, with a bit of tactical work in targeted species and which fish to enter. Good work gentlemen, game on!

The best fish this month are:

AJD - 153 points - 102cm Long Tom (with about 101cm of teeth) and a cracking HOF entry.
Ado - 120 points - 58cm Googong Golden (length as well as width).
Float - 119 points - 38.5cm Garfish - enough to crack the HOF.
Ronston - 117 points - 40cm of cracking Estuary Perch.
MrX - 114 points - 39cm of hard fighting Silver Trevally.

So with some jostling at the top of the table, it's now looking like this with 2 months to go:

SBD - 1066 points
Granpop - 1036 points
Solatree - 1016 points
AJD - 999 points
Ronston - 879 points

There is a disturbance in the force! Not only is there a Moderator that can catch fish, but there is one at the top of the Comp table. This needs to end. Dave - your mission is clear. For the good of AKFF, nay, the good of the NATION, this travesty must end. No pressure - but for God's sake beat him!

Mystery prize winners this month are Granpop, Mr X and Float. Congrats folks, PM me your full names and addresses, Davey G, qualified prize monkey, will dispatch something to you via carrier bream.
